Adam Nicolai, Esq.
Adam engages in business transactions and general civil and business litigation. He has extensive securities litigation and arbitration experience, and also has worked on a significant number of employment matters.
Additionally, he has represented financial advisors in a number of regulatory matters before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board.
Adam also drafts and reviews contracts involving a wide range of business purposes, and he assists clients in forming corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
Adam graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 2006. In 2007, he took the extraordinary step of undertaking his legal studies without going to law school. Instead, he studied law through the State Bar of California’s Law Office Study Program and under the tutelage of the partners of Markun Zusman Freniere & Compton LLP, a well-respected, national business litigation firm. Over the next several years, Adam continued to work at that firm as a litigation paralegal and law clerk while self-studying law. After completing the apprenticeship program, Adam took and passed the California Bar Exam on his first attempt.
Adam is a member of the California Bar and is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California, and has considerable experience arbitrating matters in forums such as the American Arbitration Association and FINRA Dispute Resolution. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys family, watching and playing sports, and reading.
